Flexible and efficient cleaning unit for sample beakers
The HL-BCU offers various options for the automated cleaning of laboratory beakers. These can be easily integrated into the overall process of wet chemical sample preparation steps. Cleaning is done with deionized water and can be individually adapted to the size and dimensions of the laboratory cups used. Cups with and without watch glass lids can be used.
The unit significantly increases laboratory efficiency by relieving laboratory personnel and ensuring reliable cleaning without additional operator intervention. Two cleaning variants are available that can be used for different customer requirements.
Effective cleaning of the inside of beakers (HL-BCU 1)
The first variant of the HL-BCU (HL-BCU 1) was developed specifically for the removal of solid sample components from the inside of laboratory beakers. A rinsing device is placed on the vessel, which is then filled with water. The water is then poured out, removing coarse residues.
For additional cleaning, the inside of the beaker is then sprayed out with a water nozzle. Various protective measures prevent water from entering the system.
Complete cleaning of beakers including drying (HL-BCU 2)
The second variant (HL-BCU 2) offers a comprehensive cleaning of the entire laboratory beaker, for example after the completion of a sample preparation cycle. In a separate cleaning compartment, both the inner and outer surfaces of the beaker are thoroughly cleaned with deionized water via liquid nozzles. Optionally, the underside of a watch glass cover, if present, can also be sprayed separately.
After cleaning, the beaker (optional) can be dried by a hot air drying unit to remove any remaining water droplets. This ensures that the beaker is immediately ready to take a new sample and that no moisture enters the system during further handling steps.

The two variants of the HL-BCU enable optimal adaptation to the specific requirements of the customer. The unit contributes significantly to increased efficiency and process reliability in automated wet-chemical laboratory processes. The integration of the HL-BCU into existing systems creates a reliable and time-saving solution for sample preparation and ensures consistently high cleaning quality.
