Powerful vortex mixer for automated laboratory processes

The HL-VMU is a high-performance vortex mixer unit that has been specially developed for the effective mixing of liquids and for mixing liquids with solids.

The HL-VMU can be used for applications such as the QuEChERS method. In this process, the HL-VMU is used to thoroughly mix the sample, solvent and partitioning salts. After centrifugation, the supernatant can be effectively mixed with the cleanup salts in the corresponding tube.

The HL-VMU is set up as standard for 15 ml and 50 ml centrifuge tubes, but can easily be configured for other tube sizes.

Seamless integration into fully automated laboratory systems

The HL-VMU is optimally designed for integration into fully automated laboratory systems. After the shaking process, the holder automatically returns to its initial position, allowing the unit to be optimally and reliably integrated into automation solutions.

Samples can be fed via portal systems or other handling devices. Thanks to its space-saving design, it is possible to place several units next to each other in a system to efficiently carry out parallel processes. The vials are fixed by an elastic rim, ensuring reliable handling before and after the mixing process.

Maximum stability and long-lasting performance

The HL-VMU is equipped with a complete vibration damping system, which is realized by special feet. This completely isolates the unit from the stand and prevents vibrations from being transmitted to other system components. The powerful 0.3 kW motor ensures powerful mixing, while the low-wear operation is ensured by a special ball-bearing eccentric mechanism.

The shaking motion can be flexibly adapted to the respective application, with a variable shaking stroke of 1.5 to 8.5 mm and an adjustable frequency between 500 and 2000 rpm. This combination of high performance, stability and durability makes the HL-VMU an indispensable component for automated laboratory processes that require efficient mixing.
