Precise and Reproducible Grinding

The HERZOG HP-M 100P is a state-of-the-art vibratory disc mill designed for sample preparation in analytical laboratories. The HP-M 100P is distinguished by a high degree of automation, compact design, and robust construction.

The HP-M 100P ensures consistent grinding quality for every sample, which is essential for reliable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis results. The grinding process is fully program-controlled, eliminating operator variability and guaranteeing that each sample is processed under identical conditions. This high level of automation yields excellent reproducibility, enabling laboratories to fully trust the analytical data derived from the ground samples.

Easy Handling and Operation

The HP-M 100P is designed for effortless operation without physical strain on the user. The grinding vessel is firmly mounted on the swing aggregate and features a convenient mechanism for opening and closing. This eliminates the need to lift the heavy grinding vessel or manually handle its components. The vessel’s wide opening and accessible position allow for quick, clean filling of the sample.

Once the sample is loaded, the operator folds the grinding vessel lid down to close the grinding vessel. Once the machine cover is closed, the grinding vessel is automatically sealed tightly by a bellows cylinder. When the grinding process is completed, the sample is automatically discharged into a sample cup at a separate output position, from where it can be immediately removed.

Automatic Cleaning System

The HP-M 100P features an integrated automatic cleaning system for the grinding vessel. After each grinding cycle, the vessel is thoroughly and efficiently cleaned using compressed air. This significantly reduces the risk of cross-contamination between samples. Additionally, it protects the operator from dust exposure and physical strain associated with manual vessel handling. The automatic cleaning function also increases sample throughput by minimizing turnaround time between sessions, enhancing both working conditions and the reliability of subsequent analyses.

Enclosed, Safe, and Low-Noise Operation

Operator safety and comfort are central to the HP-M 100P’s design. The grinding chamber is completely enclosed and sound-insulated, which significantly lowers the noise level in the laboratory. A built-in safety switch automatically locks the machine compartment during grinding, ensuring compliance with European CE safety directives. Furthermore, the design eliminates the need for manual lifting of heavy grinding vessels or handling of tools and lids, significantly reducing the risk of accidents and improving workplace ergonomics.

Efficient and Durable Design

Engineered for performance, the HP-M 100P is capable of short grinding times even for hard materials. Its powerful high-speed drive motor ensures that even tough samples are pulverized quickly and uniformly. This efficiency reduces preparation time for each sample without compromising on fineness or consistency. In addition, the mill’s robust construction guarantees a long service life. The heavy-duty oscillating unit is built to withstand continuous operation and high loads, resulting in minimal maintenance requirements over time. This durable design is particularly valuable in high-throughput industrial laboratories where reliability and low downtime are critical.

Programmable PLC Control for Versatility

At the heart of the HP-M 100P is a sophisticated Programmable Logic Control (PLC) system that offers flexibility and control over the grinding programs. Users can store different preparation programs in the machine’s memory, allowing quick switching between various grinding routines for different sample types. Each program can define parameters such as grinding time, grinding, sample output time, and cleaning duration. These parameters are easily set and adjusted via the touchscreen control panel on the front of the machine, providing an intuitive interface for technicians.
