HERZOG presents a new laboratory system for fully-automatic fusion, pulverizing and pelletizing of samples to be analyzed by x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. Typical applications include the analysis of iron ore, ferroalloys, recyclates and other materials. The concept stands out due to its compact dimensions and multifunctionality, which makes manual intervention unnecessary for the operator. The system not only carries out the complete sample preparation but also ensures thorough cleaning of all vessels that have been in contact with sample material. Furthermore, each step of the process is monitored using high-precision scales in order to detect any kind of material loss. By combining these measures, the system achieves high analytical accuracy and precision while avoiding cross-contamination between subsequent samples. In addition, it leads to higher occupational safety and improved laboratory efficiency.
