Transfer of a sample liquid from one container to another is efficiently performed in the LiquidLab: The Liquid Transfer Unit of our system offers various options for transferring liquids – optimally adapted to your application.
Smaller volumes: liquid transfer using a permanently installed pipette tip
Cleaning the outside and inside after each transfer
Alternatively: use disposable pipettes to minimize the risk of contamination
Larger volumes: liquid transfer via hose-valve system
Efficient cleaning with rinsing liquid
Minimization of contamination risks
In the HERZOG LiquidLab, all routine process steps such as homogenization, heating and centrifugation are reliably covered by specially developed units.

The HERZOG LiquidLab offers the possibility of performing the complete QuEChERS process including the addition of sorbents to remove matrix interferences.
Alternatively: Supply of PSA-C18 or GCB sorbents via pre-filled centrifuge tubes or individually via Powder Dosing Unit
SPE clean-up using negative pressure or positive pressure methods - depending on the analytes, the column used and the required flow rate
Fully automatic and contamination-free conditioning of the column, washing and elution
There are two ways to transfer the analysis liquid to the analyzer in the LiquidLab:
ICP Transfer Unit:
The analysis liquid can be supplied directly to the instrument via the ICP Transfer Unit. If necessary, an intermediate filter can intercept solid particles.
Liquid Transfer Unit:
Alternatively, the analysis liquid can be dispensed into suitable vials using the Liquid Transfer Unit, which are then inserted into the instrument's autosampler via a rack. In this case, the respective sample ident is automatically exchanged between the HERZOG PrepMaster and the analysis instrument. Feedback on the analysis result can be sent to the PrepMaster and may result in further actions such as a new preparation, analysis or rejection of the sample.

As an alternative to grinding with a ring and stone, we offer you our HP-SKM vibrating ball mill. Used as part of a robot automation system, it enables the grinding of materials in grinding vessels up to a size of 125 ccm.
The HERZOG HP-PKM planetary ball mill is integrated into an automatic belt system and can accommodate grinding vessels with a volume of up to 250 ccm. After grinding, the sample material is automatically removed and can then be fed to further preparation and analysis processes (option).
In addition to fully automatic systems, we also offer a large selection of manual and semi-automatic pulverizers and presses in first-class quality.
We provide special automation equipment for the preparation of samples to be analyzed by diffractometry: The HERZOG HP-PD6 diffractometer press enables the production of pressed tablets with optimum properties for XRD analysis.
The dosing unit of the HP-PD6 precisely doses the material into the ring. The dosing unit is then cleaned without leaving any residue so that carry-over into subsequent samples is prevented. The material is compacted inside the ring at low pressure to avoid an orientation of the crystal structure. The automatically inserted button provides the necessary stabilization of the material within the ring. These proven preparatory steps create excellent conditions for successful Rietvield analysis.
