Uncomplicated volumetric dosing

The HP- SCD is a rotating scoop dosing device for integration into robot cells. The HP- SCD enables uncomplicated, quick and precise volumetric dosing of sub-samples for further processing. Nearly all material types can be dosed unless they are dry with a grain size of 150 µm and smaller. The sub-sample volume depends from the volume of the scoop and can be adapted according to the application.

Designed for use in robot cells

The robot inserts the material container into the HP- SCD. The scoop extracts the sub-sample from the rotating container. Subsequently, the scoop and moves to the transfer position. Here, the extracted subsample is transferred from the scoop into a small cup. This process can be repeated several times until the required number of sub-samples has been generated from the material.

Flexible in use

After completion of dosing, the scoop is cleaned by compressed air to prevent cross-contamination of subsequent samples. The robot picks up the cups containing the sub-samples and transports them to the next device for further processing. Alternatively, cups with sub-samples are forwarded using transport belts. The robot removes the large container from the HP- SCD and the dosing device is available for dosing of further samples.

Design options:

  • Different scoop volumes
  • Connection to transport belt system
