Usable for many areas of application

There is a wide commercial potential including materials like, e.g., PGM recycling, mining, food, feed, pharma, secondary raw materials, recyclates in general, agricultural products and seeds.

Specially designed for representative splitting

The design of the HP- RSD/S considers several criteria which has to be accounted to ensure a small increment delimitation error. The sample is introduced to the HP- RSD/S via a coated or polished steel cup. Subsequently, the material is poured on a vibration feeder. The cup emptying is realized by a slow and constant tilt-turning movement to minimize the development of fine dust and reduce loss of material. This procedure also reduced the possibility of material hump build-ups influencing the splitting result by varying the material feed rate. Vibration introduced material transport is the best technical approach to provide a constant material stream.

Precise control of angular velocity

The servo drive of the splitter wheel allows setting a specific speed in correlation to the feeding rate to ensure that such a high number of Q can be realized and a constant speed is kept.

Minimized loss of material and contamination

The surfaces of parts getting in contact with the sample material are either coated or polished to minimize sticking and allow full sample recovery. Additional mechanical features like vibrators and knockers are supportive to remove any clogging material. After splitting all surfaces in contact with the material are cleaned automatically by means of compressed air. All sections prone for material accumulation are provided with a dedicated blowing nozzle setting. They can be controlled individually. The design of the chute opening or section of the splitter wheel can be customized for each application. This is also true for the feed opening of the vibration feeder.

Robot operation as an option

The HP- RSD/S can be either operated as a stand-alone machine or can be incorporated in an automatic robotic laboratory. The semi-automatic stand-alone version of the HP-RSD/S covers the reproducible material feed, splitting and cleaning (excluding sample cups). In the full automatic version the whole cup handling and cleaning will be realized by an industrial robot. The HP- RSD/S can be either connected to following preparation/handling system or a bagging machine.
