HERZOG recently launched a new module for the milling machine HS-F 1000. This module produces milling chips with an even and uniform morphology especially suited for thermal evolution methods. The granular shape also makes handling and dosing of the chips much easier.
In the present application note we report the analytical reproducibility using granular chips. The study confirms excellent precision and accuracy in the determination of carbon, sulfur and nitrogen. This shows that the new module provides an optimal sample preparation solution for combustion analysis of iron and steel samples.
