In this application note we it will be determined if the cylindrical cutter module of the HS-F 1000 milling machine produces "granular chips" suitable for determining C, S, O, N, and H content through combustion analysis. The study compared the analysis of granular chips with chips produced by face-milling cutter and drilling using six different CRM samples. The statistical analysis of the C and S results showed no significant differences between the different chip types.
